Lesia is half Cree and English, Scottish, and Slovak. Her unique look stood out. Her career started at 16 as a model for photographers and soon after in the fashion industry. Suddenly, a career in TV & Film at 18 when she was asked to host a show on a local cable station called Hollywood North about films coming to Vancouver. She then got herself an agent that landed her on the TV series 21 Jump Street the next day. Patrick Hasburgh, a Producer from 21 Jump Street saw great potential in Lesia, so he helped her find an acting school for her to enroll in, “The Peter Breck Academy,” where Lesia ended up studying for 9 years. Lesia ended up working on many other projects like The Commish, X Flies, Stingray, Hell on Wheels and Hallmark Productions Dreamkeeper, and Steven Spielberg’s Into the West, both as an SSE, Stunt, Photo Double, Stand-In/SSE, and Make-Up Artist. “Bury my Heart on Wounded Knee “as a double and stand-in.
Lesia is a multi-artist who brings a wealth of knowledge and various versatile experiences to her career. And right now she is in the pre-production stages of a First Nations project called “Two Wolves” as a Producer, Native consultant, and Actor. She’s also written several screenplays and is in pre-development of “Soul of Spiritual Warrior,” the sequel “Two Moons,” “Joy & Tony” and “Pinewood Christmas Ranch.” At 22 she even wrote a short as a writer and director of “My Moment.”
